| In their new book, The Passionate Mind Revisited: Expanding Personal and Social Awareness, authors Joel Kramer and Diana Alstad take the reader on a liberating journey toward a deeper understanding of how our minds function and challenge us to make an honest and fearless examination of our most deep-seeded beliefs and the world-views that underlie them. | Sun Festival Commemorative Stamp? No, the idea is not likely to happen in any of our lifetimes. It's about as likely as the idea of turning the street people along Wharf Road into Human Parking Meters, as one local gentleman suggested a few years back. Still, with a new piece of photo-editing software and permission from Tom D'Onofrio (pictured performing the ritualistic Blessing of the Babies) to use the above photo (taken by Lydia), it seemed like a plausible and fun idea to think about on a balmy summer afternoon. |
