The Blue Heron Inn
Proprietors Gwenn and Bud Spangler operated "The Shop" and
The Blue Heron Inn for more than thirty years.  With the passing
of Gwenn, the restaurant aspect of the Blue Heron has closed -
but not the Bed and Breakfast.  The Blue Heron Inn offers some
of the most elegant and comfortable lodging in downtown
Bolinas, footsteps away from restaurants and entertainment, and
a five minute walk in either direction from the beach. Quiet and
comfortable - the perfect place to escape.  Call (415) 868-0243
for reservations and further info.
Woodville Ranch is technically in Dogtown, just outside of
Bolinas, where as historians might tell you, the town has its
lumber and mining community origins. The property is part of
the old Pablo Briones land grant, and proprietor Russ Sands,
who lives there with his wife, Anne, still finds odd pieces of
china, railroad spikes and square-headed nails, remants of
the old days. You wouldn't know from the serentity of the
place that Anne serves on the Bolinas Fire Board.  A great
get-away, perfect for visiting family or friends, or anyone else
that can appreciate a quiet weekend in nature that is steeped
in age-old history.
The oldest continuously operating saloon in the state of
California (since 1851) also has some cozy accomodations.
Plan on relaxing with no television or clutter from the outside
world to boggle your mind. The perfect getaway spot that is
also brimming with local lore.  Across and down the street
from local restaurants and stores. Planning a birthday party for
your favorite grown-up? Make sure to ask about this special
service.
It's hard to miss the Coast Cafe ever since David, one of the
owners, constructed a huge sign on the roof. The place never
lacks customers anyway, since it is right in downtown and
serves up great fish & chips, steaks, breakfasts and an array of
other culinary delights. Sit outside on a nice day and eat oysters,
or sip a beer in the beer garden.
